Establishing ground rules is essential for the smooth operation and success of the group. Updated July 2024:
1. Confidentiality:
- What's shared in the group stays in the group. Members must agree to respect the privacy of conversations.
2. Punctuality:
- Meetings start and end on time. Members should commit to being punctual to honor everyone's time and to be well prepared for possible breakout room discussions.
3. Preparation:
- Members should come prepared to discuss the agenda items. Pre-meeting materials, if any, should be reviewed in advance.
4. Participation:
- Everyone's input is valuable and should be heard. We want to encourage active participation from all members.
5. Respect:
- We foster an environment of professionalism and mutual respect, implementing our Coaching Competencies when engaged with the group as a whole, in breakout rooms, or individually in contexts connected to aICARE.
6. No Judgment Zone:
- We shall create a safe space where members can share freely without fear of criticism or judgment.
7. Action-Oriented:
- We encourage members to set actionable goals and follow through with commitments made during meetings.
8. Positive Attitude:
- Maintain a positive and solution-focused mindset, even when discussing challenges.
9. No Solicitation:
- The group is not a platform for selling services or products to other members.
10. Feedback:
- If and when asked for, please provide specific and constructive feedback with the intent to support and improve, not to belittle.
11. Think Tank Specific:
- For the think tank chapter, we emphasize the importance of evidence-based discussions and the willingness to engage in research and analysis.
By setting these ground rules, we hope to ensure that our group is a productive and supportive environment where members can thrive.
